Stage‑1: Prelims (Screening – 250 marks)

  • Objective MCQ, 2 papers, each 2 hours.

Stage‑2: Mains (1000 marks – merit deciding)

Descriptive (likhne wala), 8 papers, 3–3 hours each.​

Paper I – General Studies (100 marks)​

  • General Knowledge & Current Affairs (India + Bihar, especially legal / constitutional news)
  • General Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology – matric+ level)
  • Indian History & Culture (freedom struggle, Bihar ka role, important movements)
  • Indian Polity (Constitution basics, Parliament, President, PM, Judiciary, fundamental rights/duties, federalism)
  • Geography (India + Bihar: rivers, climate, agriculture, resources)

Paper II – Law (150 marks)

  • Indian Judiciary Code, 2023 (jo pehle IPC ki jagah aaya hai):
    General principles of criminal liability, abetment, common intention, attempt, offences against human body, property, public order, etc.
  • Indian Evidence Act, 2023:
    Relevancy, admissibility, burden of proof, presumptions, oral/documentary evidence, examination of witnesses.
  • Indian Civil Security Code, 2023 (CrPC ka naya version):
    FIR, investigation, arrest, bail, charge, trial procedure, appeals, revisions.
  • Civil Procedure Code, 1908:
    Jurisdiction, suits, pleadings, appearance, ex‑parte decree, res judicata, execution, appeals.
  • Fundamental knowledge of the Indian Constitution:
    Preamble, fundamental rights, DPSP, emergency provisions, amendment procedure, important Articles.​

Paper 1 – General Studies (100 marks)​

  • Current events (national, international, Bihar specific)
  • General Science & technology
  • Indian History & culture (with special reference to Bihar)

  • Indian & Bihar geography (economic and social aspects)

Paper 2 – Hindi (Qualifying – 100 marks)​

  • स्तर: Bihar Board matric ke barabar.
  • व्याकरण (शुद्ध लेखन, शब्द, वाक्य, समास, संधि, अलंकार, मुहावरे)
  • निबंध लेखन
  • अपठित गद्यांश पर प्रश्न
  • वाक्य निर्माण व संशोधन
