- Concept of development, domains (physical, cognitive, social, emotional).
- Principles of development, age‑stages (early childhood, middle childhood, adolescence).
- Role of heredity & environment, individual differences, IQ & intelligence (basic concepts).
- Learning & Pedagogy:
- Meaning & types of learning (classical, operant, social learning, etc.).
- Piaget, Kohlberg, Vygotsky, Bronfenbrenner – basic ideas (Piaget stages, Vygotsky’s ZPD, etc.).
- Different learning styles, learner‑centred pedagogy, inclusive education, CWSN, disability & education.
- Teaching & Assessment:
- Concept of teaching, teaching‑learning process, classroom management.
- Assessment: formative & summative, continuous & comprehensive evaluation (CCE), qualities of a good teacher.
2) Language‑I (Hindi/Urdu + English)
