  2. Work Experience (25% weightage).

BTSC syllabus is based on class 12th + Diploma‑level topics in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, with specialization depending on the lab post (Science, CS, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, etc.).

Physics (common base for Science lab posts)

  • Units & Measurements.
  • Motion (Kinematics).
  • Laws of Motion.
  • Work, Energy, and Power.
  • Gravitation.
  • Properties of Matter.
  • Oscillations and Waves.
  • Thermodynamics.
  • Optics (Reflection & Refraction).
  • Electricity & Magnetism.
  • Modern Physics (Atoms, Nuclei).

Chemistry (common base for Science lab posts)

  • Basic Concepts of Chemistry.
  • Structure of Atom.
  • Periodic Table & Periodicity.

Part B — General Studies / Aptitude (25 Marks)

    • Indian History, Geography, Polity, Economy, Environment & Science & Technology (last 6–12 months focus).
  • Reasoning & Mental Ability:
    • Analogies, Series, Coding‑Decoding, Blood Relations, Directions, Syllogism, Puzzles, Non‑verbal reasoning.
  • Elementary Mathematics:
    • Number System, Percentage, Ratio & Proportion, Average, Time & Work, Time‑Speed‑Distance, Profit & Loss, Simple & Compound Interest, Mensuration basics, Data Interpretation.
  • English / Hindi Language (Basic):
    • Comprehension, Vocabulary, Synonyms & Antonyms, Error Spotting, Fill in the Blanks, Sentence Improvement.
