The Delhi Police Head Constable (Ministerial) 2025 recruitment will be conducted in the following stages:

 

  1. Computer-Based Examination (CBE)
  2. Physical Endurance & Measurement Test (PE&MT)
  3. Typing Test on Computer
  4. Computer (Formatting) Test

1. General Awareness

Covers general knowledge and current affairs.
Topics:

  • Indian History, Geography, Polity & Economy
  • Science & Technology
  • Sports, Awards, Books & Authors
  • Important Days, Abbreviations, Current Affairs
  • National & International Events

2. Quantitative Aptitude

Tests numerical ability and problem-solving skills.
Topics:

  • Number Systems, Simplification
  • Ratio & Proportion, Percentages, Average
  • Profit & Loss, Discount
  • Time & Work, Time & Distance
  • Simple & Compound Interest
  • Data Interpretation

3. General Intelligence (Reasoning Ability)

Checks analytical and logical reasoning.

  • Analogies, Coding-Decoding
  • Blood Relations, Series (Number/Alphabet)
  • Syllogism, Decision Making
  • Non-Verbal Reasoning, Pattern Recognition
  • Visual Memory, Problem Solving

4. English Language

Tests grammar, vocabulary, and comprehension skills.

5. Computer Knowledge

Stage 2: Physical Endurance & Measurement Test (PE&MT)

For Male Candidates:

Event Minimum Standard
Race 1600 meters in 6 minutes
Long Jump 14 feet (3 chances)
High Jump 3’9” feet (3 chances)

For Female Candidates:

Event Minimum Standard
Race 800 meters in 5 minutes
Long Jump 10 feet (3 chances)
High Jump 3 feet (3 chances)

Stage 3: Typing Test on Computer

  • Speed:
    • English: 30 words per minute
    • Hindi: 25 words per minute
  • Nature: Qualifying only (marks not counted in final merit)

Stage 4: Computer (Formatting) Test

  • Software Covered: MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint
  • Duration: 10 Minutes
  • Nature: Qualifying

Final Selection

The final merit list will be prepared based on marks obtained in the Computer-Based Examination (CBE) only.
Candidates must qualify PE&MT, Typing, and Formatting Tests.


7-Day Preparation Tips

📅 Day 1-2:

  • Revise General Awareness – Focus on current affairs (last 6 months).
  • Practice 1 mock test daily.

📅 Day 3:

  • Focus on Quantitative Aptitude – Simplification, Percentage, and Ratio.
  • Solve 50 practice questions topic-wise.

📅 Day 4:

  • Prepare Reasoning Ability – Coding-Decoding, Series, and Syllogism.
  • Analyze previous year papers.

📅 Day 5:

  • Work on English Grammar – Error Detection, Synonyms, Cloze Test.
  • Read short comprehension daily.

📅 Day 6:

  • Practice Computer Awareness – MS Office & Internet basics.
  • Revise shortcuts and commands.

📅 Day 7:

  • Attempt 2 Full-Length Mock Tests.
  • Analyze mistakes and revise weak topics.

Extra Tip:

Keep 1 hour daily for current affairs revision and 30 minutes for typing speed practice.
