Eligibility (NIT/UGC Norms 2018/2023)

All candidates require PhD in relevant discipline.

Assistant Professor Grade II (Level 10)

PhD (pursuing PhD with coursework completed also eligible).
No minimum experience required.

Assistant Professor Grade I (Level 12)

PhD + 3 years after PhD OR 6 years total teaching/research/industry experience of which 3 years should be after PhD.
At least 3 publications in SCI journals.

Associate Professor (Level 13A2)

PhD + 6 years experience after PhD (of which 3 years at Level 12 or equivalent).
9 publications (6 in last 5 years), H-index 6 or equivalent.

Professor (Level 14A)

PhD + 10 years experience (of which 4 years at Level 13A2 or equivalent).
10 publications (6 in last 5 years), H-index 10 or equivalent.

Seminar/Presentation: Technical presentation before selection committee.
