National Testing Agency (NTA) has released NIFT Entrance Exam 2026 notification for admission to B.Des, B.F.Tech, M.Des, MFM, M.F.Tech, and Ph.D. programmes at 18 NIFT campuses across India. Online registration is live from 8 December 2025 to 6 January 2026.

- CAT (Creative Ability Test): 100 Marks (qualitative)
- GAT (General Ability Test): 100 Marks (MCQ) – Quantitative, Analytical, GK, English
- GD/PI/Situation Test: For shortlisted candidates
Mode: GAT – CBT/PBT; CAT – Pen-Paper
Eligibility Criteria
B.Des/B.F.Tech: 10+2 from any recognized board (50% aggregate for Gen/OBC, 45% for SC/ST/PwD)
PG Programmes: Bachelor’s degree (relevant discipline)
No Age Limit for all programmes
Selection Process
- GAT + CAT Score (Stage 1)
- GD/PI/Situation Test (Stage 2 for shortlisted candidates)
- Merit List → Counselling → Seat Allotment

- Recent passport size photo (10-200 KB, JPG/JPEG/PNG; 80% face visible)
- Signature (4-30 KB, JPG/JPEG/PNG)
- Category certificate (SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS/PwBD)
- PwBD certificate (≥40% disability)
