Selection Process

Written Examination (CBT).
Evaluation of Academic Qualifications & Certificates (NTC/Apprenticeship, CITS, Work Experience).
Document Verification.
Medical Examination.

Final merit is prepared on the basis of Written Exam (50%) + NTC/Apprenticeship (20%) + CITS (30%) + Service Experience (max 25 marks).

Part‑A: Trade‑Specific Knowledge (80 Marks)

BTSC has 12 ITI trades (Fitter, Electrician, Welder, Mechanic Diesel, Electrician, Electronics, etc.).
Each trade has its own syllabus, based on ITI‑level diploma curriculum. Common representative topics by trade are:

Electrician

Elementary Mathematics:
- Number System, Percentages, Ratio & Proportion, Average, Time & Work, Time‑Speed‑Distance, Profit & Loss, Simple & Compound Interest, Mensuration, Data Interpretation.
English / Hindi Language (Basic):
- Comprehension, Vocabulary, Synonyms‑Antonyms, Error Spotting, Fillers, Sentence Improvement.
